Fashion Favourites: World Mastercard Fashion Week

World Mastercard Fashion Week (aka Toronto Fashion Week - who else dislikes fashion weeks being named after corporate sponsors rather than the cities they are held in?)  took place last week. Although it lacks the international attention of other major fashion weeks, it serves as a great platform for Canadian designers to showcase their work. Unfortunately I was unable to attend any of the shows, but I did follow them through social media and the press. Today I wanted to share with you my favourite show just as I did with the New York, London, Milan and Paris shows.  

Pink Tartan

 I adored Pink Tartan's F/W 2014 show. Founder/designer Kimberley Newport-Mimran drew inspiration from the Inuit people for her collection. It featured outerwear, dresses and separates in houndstooth, wool, and red and black buffalo check, as well as fur stoles.

April Favourites!

I can't believe it's that time again! To be honest, this list was especially difficult to compile this month. I spent April finishing up a very intensive 8 month + internship postgrad program. Between the exams, reports, projects, presentations, late nights and early mornings, I had very little time to myself to discover new products, so this list mostly includes old favourites that I found myself reaching for this month. 1. Cadbury Mini Eggs :  Mini Eggs are my favourite Easter candy and I don't even want to think of how many I consumed this month (stress eating!). At least I was balancing all that chocolate out with vegan bowls . 2. Live Clean Fresh Face Foaming Daily Cleanser : I picked up this cleanser in my never ending quest to find the best skin care products. I'm glad I did as I really love it. February Favourites!

I can't believe it's the end of the month already! Here are the products I've been loving during February. 1. Ecotools Essential Eye Set : I'm a big fan of Ecotools cruelty-free and natural makeup brushes. I recently needed some new eye brushes so I picked up this set. Don't expect Mac, Real Techniques or Sigma quality, but you really do get a bang for your buck with this set. I've been very happy with how these brushes perform.  $15 at Rexall and Lawtons drug stores 2. White Barn 3-Wick Candle in Lilac Blossom and Honeysuckle Bouquet : I am so ready for spring, especially with the winter we've been having in Toronto. I love decorating my apartment with these 3-Wick Candles from Bath and Body Works, and last week I decided it was time to pack away my fall/winter candles and replace them with some spring ones.
