Chloe attended the Young Hollywood Awards wearing a red lace Valentino dress with macrame floral embellishments and sheer detailing. She finished her look with black Louboutins and a red lip. (Source)

Nikki was also at the Young Hollywood Awards. She wore a black and white cropped top and black body con skirt, both by Misha Collection. She completed her look with Jimmy Choos, a clutch with metallic detailing, and natural looking makeup. (Source)

Although the British singer, formerly Cheryl Cole, is not very well known in North America, I knew I had to include this outfit after stumbling upon it. She wore a mint green peplum top and skirt set by 3.1 Philip Lim to X Factor auditions in London. She added white pointed toe pumps to complete her outfit. (Source)

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Oscar de la Renta last week. He was such a talented designer and truly one of the remaining greats. He trained with Cristobal Balenciaga, and worked at Lanvin and Arden before launching his own ready to wear label in 1965. Over the years, he expanded into accessories, perfume, bridal wear and home wear. He also designed Balmain's haute couture collection from 1993 to 2002. Natural Beauty: What's in Your Skin Care?

Have you ever thought about what's in the products you use everyday? I certainly didn't, until about a year ago. If you've read any of the posts in my natural beauty series , you know that I've been trying to make my skin care routine more natural and environmentally friendly. Everything from skin care to shampoo to hand soap to dish soap to laundry detergent is made with chemicals that have been linked to both disrupting the endocrine system and causing cancer. The EU has banned or regulated over 1,300 ingredients used in personal care products. Here in North America, we are much more lenient. Drugstore Find: Physicians Formula Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder

Physicians Formula isn't the most popular drugstore makeup brand by any means, so today I am devoting this post to their Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder . This little gem has been one of my go-to products for years. This product seems to be completely one of a kind as I'm not aware of anything similar, either drugstore or high end. Physicians Formula describes this products as a 3-in-1 corrector, primer and powder that "colour corrects the most common skin imperfections, smoothes skin texture and evens out skin tone." It is available in four shades, Translucent, Creamy Natural, Buff Beige and Natural Beige, and it costs $19.99. Each shade combines yellow, pink, green and beige coloured powders. Yellow cancels out purple/blue under eye circles on olive skin tones, pink highlights and cancels out purple/blue under eye circles on fair and light skin tones, and green cancels out redness.
