Looks of the Week!

Living in Southern Ontario where we have been experiencing record low temperatures this winter, the Sundance Film Festival has been providing me with plenty of winter outfit inspiration. Sundance may not be the most glamourous film festival as the celebs are more focused on looking casual, cozy and weather appropriate than they are on dressing up. However, I've seen many cute looks that I am definitely inspired to re-create. These are my top three looks of the week, all taken from Sundance:

I'm digging Chloe's look, and I think that a sheer top, black velvet jeans and black pointy toe heels is the perfect outfit for a casual Saturday night out. (Source)

Bar carts are my latest home decor obsession. It seems like they are everywhere lately, and I am seriously considering adding one to my own home. They can be super affordable ( try this one from Ikea ) or fancy ( like this one from West Elm ). Apart from the basics like liquor, glasses and a cocktail shaker, you can add all kinds of fun objects to your bar cart such as fresh flowers, candles, framed prints, books, knick knacks, really anything you can think of! April Favourites!

I can't believe it's that time again! To be honest, this list was especially difficult to compile this month. I spent April finishing up a very intensive 8 month + internship postgrad program. Between the exams, reports, projects, presentations, late nights and early mornings, I had very little time to myself to discover new products, so this list mostly includes old favourites that I found myself reaching for this month. 1. Cadbury Mini Eggs :  Mini Eggs are my favourite Easter candy and I don't even want to think of how many I consumed this month (stress eating!). At least I was balancing all that chocolate out with vegan bowls . 2. Live Clean Fresh Face Foaming Daily Cleanser : I picked up this cleanser in my never ending quest to find the best skin care products. I'm glad I did as I really love it. February Favourites!

I can't believe it's the end of the month already! Here are the products I've been loving during February. 1. Ecotools Essential Eye Set : I'm a big fan of Ecotools cruelty-free and natural makeup brushes. I recently needed some new eye brushes so I picked up this set. Don't expect Mac, Real Techniques or Sigma quality, but you really do get a bang for your buck with this set. I've been very happy with how these brushes perform.  $15 at Rexall and Lawtons drug stores 2. White Barn 3-Wick Candle in Lilac Blossom and Honeysuckle Bouquet : I am so ready for spring, especially with the winter we've been having in Toronto.
